XOLO has used the microblogging platform twitter to launch its latest Omega phones. The launch session was unique and interactive where user queries were answered. It was also the first occasion where the firm used its twitter handle to reveal specifications, features and launch dates of its newest phone.

LAVA XOLO Omega will go on sale before Christmas 2014. It would be made available in 2 variants with different cameras, battery and display specifications. The 5.0 inches version of Omega costs 5900 Rs. It has a back 8.0 megapixels camera with Sony Exmor Rs sensors and LED flash.

The phone packs with a front 2.0 MP snapper and a 2100 mAh battery. The 5.5 inches variant is priced at Rs 6300. It has 13.0 MP Sony sensor at the back and a 2600 mAh capacity battery. The front camera is same as that of its sibling.

XOLO Omega 5.0 and Omega 5.5 price in India

Both variants of XOLO Omega feature Hive user interface and rounded corners. They’ll get Android Lollipop update along with new and improved HIVE.

The phones are fitted with 1 GB of RAM and 2 SIM and 1 microSD slots. Their battery is non-removable. The available storage space is 8GB. The phones are installed with 0.4 GHz Mali 450 MP GPU and a 1.4 GHz MT6592M octa-core Mediatek CPU. Supported networks are HSPA+, EDGE, GPS, Bluetooth 4.0 and WiFi. FM Radio and headphone jack connectivity are supported as well.

XOLO has also announced a free Vodafone data pack for the 2 phones. The plan includes 1GB internet data usage for Omega 5.5 and 512 MB for XOLO Omega 5.0.
