Asus Max Pro M1 was launched in May/April this year as a competitor to Redmi Note 5 Pro. The company might have sold half a million units of Zenfone M1 to date. Nokia 6.1 Plus will go on sale soon in India. It is the king of mid-range phones in China.

Asus Zenfone Max Pro M1 vs Nokia 6.1 Plus

Display

The M1 phone doesn’t have Dragon Tail or Corning Gorilla Glass protection. It has an oleophobic coating. You’ll have to use Tempered glass or screen guard if you want to protect the display from drops or scratches. The Nokia device employs the Corning Gorilla Glass 3 glass to offer resistance against scratches and dust.

ZMPM1 boasts a 5.99-inch 2.5D display with FHD+ resolution. Nokia’s new handset has a 5.8-inch Full HD Plus display. It features a notch too.

Processor, RAM, Storage, and OS

The Asus Zenfone MP M1 and Nokia 6.1 Plus smartphones have an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 octa-core processor. They have Adreno 509 graphics processor and stock Android 8.1 operating system.

M1 Pro is available in 3 configurations – 3GB RAM + 32GB ROM, 4GB RAM + 64GB ROM, 6GB RAM + 64GB storage. The costliest variant of M1P is priced at 14999 INR. Nokia 6.1 Plus is priced at 15999 Rs. It packs 4GB RAM and 64GB storage hardware.

6.1 Plus supports 400GB MicroSD cards. The new Asus handset can handle 2TB MicroSD cards. The Nokia device has a hybrid SIM slot. M1 has a dedicated MicroSD and two SIM slots.

Camera

Max Pro M1 has a 16MP front and 16MP+5MP back camera. The additional sensor at the backside adds bokeh effect functionality to the phone. M1’s front and back cameras have a F/2.0 aperture. The default camera app in this handset doesn’t let you record slow-motion videos. The mobile has a single LED front/rear flash.

Nokia 6.1 Plus carries offers similar resolution cameras as Zenfone M1 and it supports slow-motion video recording. It has 2 LED flashes at the backside.

Battery

The Nokia phone comes with a  3060 mAh battery which lasts up to 2 to 3 days on a single charge. M1 has a 5000 mAh battery which powers the phone for up to 5 days.

Updates, design, and other hardware

The Nokia1 device will get Android P update. Asus has promised to proved Android Q update to the Max Pro M1. The Nokia handset provides USB Type C Port. M1 has a dedicated 3.5mm headphone jack. Both mobiles have Bluetooth 5.0 chip. M1’s backside is built with metal and its side is built with plastic. It is 8.46mm thin. N6P has a glass back cover and it is 7.9 millimeters thin.

Other features that are common between the two phones:
