RealMe was an Oppo subsidiary. After the success of the Real Me phone, the team behind RealMe parted ways from Oppo to form an independent company.

RM has launched 2 new budget 4G mobiles for the Indian markets. The new handsets resemble one of the best selling Oppo phones i.e. Oppo F9 Pro and they cost Rs 13999 and 17999 Rs. They are retailing under the name RealMe 2 Pro.

Let’s have look at the features of the latest RealMe smartphones:

The phones are available in three color variants – Black Sea, Ocean Blue, Blue Ocean. They run on Android 8.1 OS based Color OS. They have a notch display. Inside the notch, you’ll find a 16MP camera which is powered by a F/2.0 Aperture. The mobiles don’t have a selfie flash. However, to lit up selfies in dark, Color OS will automatically increase the brightness of the screen to max level for a few seconds when you tap the capture button.

R2 Pro flaunts a dewdrop designed based 6.3-inch full HD Plus display protected by Corning Gorilla 3 Glass. Its screen pixel density is 403.

RealMe 2 Pro

The mobiles have a Snapdragon 660 octa-core 1950 megahertz processor and Adreno 512 GPU. They provide a dedicated MicroSD card slot.

RealMe 2 Pro supports MicroSD cards having a storage capacity of up to 256GB. It supports band 38, 41, 40 and USB OTG technology.

The weight of the mobiles is 174 grams. At its backside, R2 Pro boasts 2MP + 16MP back cameras and a LED flash. The RealMe handset’s camera uses Sony sensors and they support Electronic Image Stabilization.

The mobiles include a 3500 mAh battery. They’re 8.5mm thick. They carry a fingerprint sensor. They also support face recognition. In addition to the fingerprint reader, R2 Pro carries gravity, M, light, and gyroscope sensors.

As mentioned earlier, Real Me has launched two variants of RealMe 2 Pro. The base variant of the phone is priced at 17999 Rs and it features 64GB ROM and 4GB RAM. The other variant has 8GB RAM and 12GB storage memory.
