Oppo has launched its first budget phone of 2018, the RealMe 1 in India for INR 8990 Rs. Like other Oppo handsets, RealMe has a great design. The handset boasts a glossy back cover that flaunts several polygonal patterns. It has thin bezels.
The mobile offers incredible features. RealMe features a 5.991-inch IPS display with a screen resolution of 2160 x 1080 pixels, 18:9 aspect ratio, and 297+ pixel density.
The Oppo smartphone includes three slots, two for SIM cards and one for a 256, 128, 64, 32, 8GB MicroSD card. It supports dual VoLTE technology and carries a MediaTek P60 Helio series Cortex A72 architecture based 64-bit octa-core 2.0 GHz 12Nm processor.
RealMe packs 3410 mAh battery. According to Oppo, the battery usage of the phone is monitored by an AI technology powered function. The function learns how the phone’s battery is utilized. It also kills background apps that are not being used by the user.
Oppo RealMe offers 8-megapixels selfie camera and a LED flash powered 13-megapixels back camera. It supports scene recognition technology and bokeh effect.
RealMe is powered by Color 5.1 OS (Android 8.1 operating system based ROM). It has a 154.9 grams weight and Mali MP3 G72 processor.
Realme 1 lacks a fingerprint sensor. The mobile provides face unlock feature. Instead of employing a biometric sensor, Realme will recognize user’s face programmatically. P60’s AI unit will handle the face recognizer function of the RM1 handset.
The mobile’s screen and back cover isn’t scratch proof. Oppo will provide a free screen protector and case to the buyers of the RealMe phone.

Realme is an Amazon exclusive device. Although the mobile doesn’t have a fingerprint reader, it has a killer design, a lot of RAM and a powerful processor. It is a good alternative to Asus Zenfone Max Pro M1 and Xiaomi Redmi 5.
