Vivo, a Chinese brand that operates in many countries of Asia will soon launch the world’s first 6GB RAM phone. Sounds crazy, isn’t it?
If you follow tech new websites, you might be well aware of the fact that Vivo is a company which gives special importance to design rather than stuffing its products with powerful hardware (like its Chinese counterparts). This is for the first time Vivo or a Chinese company will launch a 4+ GB RAM phone.
Vivo Xplay 5 will have the most powerful processor for smartphones, the Qualcomm Snapdragon 820. As mentioned earlier, the upcoming Vivo handset is powered by 6GB RAM. It will employ either 4GB + 2GB RAM modules or it includes dual 3GB RAM modules, each based on LPDDR4 architecture.
Because of the quad-core SD 820 SoC and a powerful GPU, Xplay 5 is expected to feature a high-resolution display to leverage the processor’s latest features.
The PPI density might be within 550 to 600 and the resolution will be within 2000 to 3000 pixels, the highest supported by the latest graphics processing units. The phone will play 4K or 2K videos with no lag.
With such astounding configuration, the Xplay 5 can be considered as a PC that fits in your pocket. I think the phone is powered by the Microsoft Windows 10 operating system. If my assumption is correct, Xplay 5 will offer the best Continuum experience.
If the OS is Android, the phone will offer ultimate multi-tasking and gaming experience. No matter what app you run, Xplay 5 will always have free RAM. If 1 or 1.5 GB of RAM is assigned to the GPU, gaming and editing large videos will be a fun experience for the owner of Vivo Xplay 5.
Other rumored features are as follows:
- A large display (5.5 or a 6 inch).
- 4100+ mAh capacity battery.
- VoLTE support.
- Wireless charging.
- inbuilt HiFi sound system.
When launched, Xplay 5 will be the best Vivo phone in the markets. Because of its high-end specs, the handset will carry a high price tag. Vivo will launch its most powerful mobile device on the 1st of March 2016 at a grand event in Beijing.
Interesting Fact:
Vivo hold’s the world record for the slimmest phone in the world. Its X5 max handset is 4.75 inches thin.
