Xiaomi has finally launched the Dual-SIM Mi Max phablet in India for Rs 14999. The Mi Max is a worthy competitor to the Zenfone Ultra because it has a 6.0+ inches screen like the Zenfone Ultra and a metal body.
The phablet is running on Xiaomi’s Custom Android Marshmallow ROM, the MIUI 8. Xiaomi had introduced the ROM along with the Mi Max phone. It has several new additions that make MIUI 8 a great OS. Some of the exciting new modules of the ROM are as follows:
Quick Share: This feature lets you share pictures or videos saved in the gallery to social networks from the gallery itself.
Scam and Spam detections: Xiaomi MIUI’s inbuilt spam detection feature is now more robust than ever.
Video Editor: The latest version of the MIUI 8 ROM allows you to edit videos on the phone without installing a third-party editing tool. This utility offers useful functions like video cropper, effects, filters, etc.
Power saving mode: When the phone is running out of power, enabling the power saver feature of MIUI 8 will increase the battery backup by turning off unnecessary background tasks, file synchronization activities, etc.
Scanner: The MIUI 8 ROM features an inbuilt QR code scanner.
Mi Lanting: This feature will make the display crisper to let you read EBooks, articles without putting much strain on the eyes.
Xiaomi will sell the phablet on its official website. The Mi Max is a large phone with 6.4-inch touchscreen display, 1920 x 1080 pixels resolution and 345 pixels density. The Corning Gorilla 4 Glass protects the screen of the phone.

The phone packs a 4850 mAh capacity lithium polymer nonremovable battery which should last for 18 to 24 day on a single charge. It features hexacore Qualcomm SD 652 processor, Adreno GPU, and a fingerprint sensor on the back side.
