According to Flipkart, the big billion day sale will kick off starting October 2 and last up to Oct 6. That’s right! Only 11 days are left for the massive sale. Unless it’s urgent, avoid buying products in the eleven days as you can get a good discount on your favorite product during the sale.
Shopping for Diwali starts in 1st week of October. Hence, it is a good move by Flipkart to organize the sale in the first seven days of the new month.
Flipkart and other firms sell most of its goods during the festive season of Diwali. The 1st Big billion day sale generated huge revenue for the company and made thousands of consumers happy. Flipkart sold phones, cameras, and Televisions worth 1000s of Rupees for one tenth of its original price tag. Manufacturers weren’t happy about the eCommerce giant’s decision and they asked Flipkart to sell products with minor discounts.
The eCommerce firm agreed to do so. The 2nd BBD sale didn’t have jaw-dropping offers on your favorite products, but it earned large revenue for Flipkart.
Analysts have marked down Flipkart’s valuation from 15B to 9B. The company has been desperate to break-even since then. Hence, it is unlikely that we may see deep discounts during the Big Billion Day 2016 sale.
