Apple watch will soon have 2 new competitors in the markets as Samsung and Motorola has unveiled their latest smartwatches today at the IFA event. The watches are attractive and powerful. Thus they’re expected to give the iwatch a run for its money.
Samsung will launch 2 variants of Gear S2 i.e classic and modern. The classic watch will be based on traditional design. The modern version of this device will attract young technology lovers.
The Gear S2 is the most powerful and beautiful smartwatch that Samsung has ever launched. It has latest edition of Tizen OS for wearable devices. This OS boasts modern UI and it is supported well by the hardware to give users a quick access to notifications, apps and other features of the watch.
Gear S2 is a NFC technology supporting device that flaunts a 1.2 inch circular display. It has 11.3 mm thickness and a perfect resolution of 360 x 360 pixels. It comes with a 1000 megahertz 2 core processor for running the OS, preloaded utilities and applications. When the user charges the 250 mAh battery of this watch up to 100%, he’ll be able to use it for 48 hours. When it is powered on, S2 will start recording user activities. You will be give an option to check the recorded data so that you can track or work on your health and fitness.
This Samsung smartwatch has 512 megabyte RAM. It comes installed with Nike+ utility, S health, calendar, weather and many more apps on a 4GB storage. It has Bluetooth, heart rate sensor and WiFi. Like Samsung, Motorola will offer its latest Moto 360 2nd gen smartwatch in 2 flavors. 360 2nd gen, as expected will come loaded with many Google applications and services. It will run on Android wear OS. Its computing hardware i.e CPU and GPU are much powerful than that of Samsung’s Gear S2. There’s a quad core Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 chip and Adreno 305 graphics in 2nd gen Moto 360.
This watch has liquid crystal backlit 1.6 inch display with 360 x 325 pixel resolution. It has 300 mAh LI-ON battery along with Bluetooth and WiFi. This watch will cost users around 300 dollars.
