Elephone has confirmed that its upcoming handset P4000 has a metal frame just like Xiaomi Mi4 and Samsung Galaxy Alpha. The firm has also revealed P4000’s $200 price tag. Its earlier launched metal frame equipped budget phone P6i was well received by the public. Thus, Elephone’s expectations with the P4000 would be high.
Talking about its features, the P4000 phone has Mediatek M6592 chip clocking at 1.7 GHz/s under a JDI touchscreen 5.0 inches display. The screen comes with a good HD resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels.
Like most other MTK CPU equipped phones, the Elephone P4000 employs a Mali GPU (v MP4 450). There’s Android Kit Kat 4.4.2 OS with MIUI user interface residing on a 16 GB ROM.
This phone is fitted with 2 GB RAM and it has 2 SIM card slots. It has weight around 147 grams and thickness of 8.59 millimeters. It boasts a 16.0 megapixels rear auto-focus enabled camera with LED flash.
Video calling at 720p resolution is supported as there’s an 8.0 MP front snapper. P4000 houses a 2750 mAh capacity battery. It includes other basic features like GPS, WiFi, EDGE, FM Radio, Infrared, Bluetooth, and 3G.
- Octa core processor, JDI display.
- Good camera and memory specifications.
- Quad-core GPU.
Price in India: Around Rs 9000.
P4000 has good features, but it will face competition not only from the Mi 4 series handsets. Brands like Meizu, CoolPad, Huawei, and Lenovo have a large fan following and Elephone is not as popular as them. P4000 phone has an excellent design and it looks spectacular with the JDI screen.
The handset’s thickness is unbelievable considering the fact that Elephone has added a couple of high-resolution cameras to its device. The screen resolution is not very high. Thus, the battery will work great.
