Toshiba has listed its latest Chromebook CB30-007 on the company’s official portal. This new device from the Japanese firm is slightly different from other laptops with Chrome OS. It has a 2 GB RAM mounted on the motherboard.
Unlike many other Chromebooks, CB30-007 has just 1 slot for system memory. It packs with a bay trail N2830 dual core Celeron CPU. This processor is commonly used in budget laptops under 300 dollars.
It has a 2.0+ GHz clock speed, 1.2 MB of total cache memory and 64 bits architecture. Celeron N2830 is energy-efficient. It requires 7.5 watts of electric current to function. This Toshiba device is fitted with an SSD of 16GB storage capacity and an HD 4000 Intel graphics processor.
The Chrome OS is pre-installed on the solid state drive. Hence, CB30 will load applications faster than laptops with hard disk drives. To make it user-friendly, the company has added multiple USB ports and an SD card reader to this device. This Chromebook is stuffed with an HDMI port, WiFi, 43 WHr battery, Bluetooth and a web camera.
Toshiba will allow users to save 100 gigabytes of data free to Google’s cloud storage platform. This laptop features a 13.3 inches display. It boasts 1366 x 768 pixels resolution.
Unlike its earlier models, this device is lightweight and thin. The thickness of this Chromebook from Toshiba is around 0.75 inches. Its weight is 1.38 kilograms. CB30 has been priced within 250 to 300 (under 18000 in India).
