Popular ride-sharing company OLA has introduced its food delivery service in Mumbai, Bangalore, Delhi, and Hyderabad. Instead of launching a new app, this service has been added to the Ola cabs app. Thus, if you want to order food, install ola on your handset.
I don’t have access to the features of Ola cab yet as I’m from Surat, but from the official pictures shared by the company, it looks like Ola cafe works in the same manner as the ride-sharing service.
When you register ola account and login to the app, you’ll see a cafe button at the bottom of the app’s main window. Tap on it. This software will track your current location and it will highlight restaurant in your area on the Google map. Click on any restaurant of your choice and ola cafe will display available food items.
Ola will take orders for snacks from 3 PM onwards till 7.00. If you want to have lunch, you’ll need to place an order between 12 to 3 PM. Dinner can be ordered before 11.00 PM.
The timings are perfect for an employee working in regular, day or night shifts in metro cities. If the price tag on food items is high or if your salary is low, you should stick to your current food service. Anyways, the order has to be confirmed before it has been placed. The delivery boy will call you when he is ready to complete the order.
If your exact address is not displayed by the GMaps, you can call the delivery man to make him aware of your current location. Cafe supports cash as well as wallet payments.
The company has promised that food will reach your office/doorstep within 20 minutes. Food ordered via Ola cafe app can be canceled online through the app itself.
You can also call 08044050055 number for the same. Ola Cafe will be competing with food panda. If UberFresh is introduced in India, it will be the biggest competitor of Ola’s new service.
