LG has unveiled 4 models of its upcoming phone AKA in Korea. It has also announced the availability of this device in 4 international markets, hong kong, China, Turkey, and Singapore. The USP of the AKA phone is its funky design and UI that can be customized by the users as a do it your own (DIY) project.
LG has claimed that AKA was launched for its Korean customers but due to positive reviews and feedback, it has decided to launch AKA globally. The phones are named as Eggy, yo-yo, Wooky, and soul and they’re fitted with a front slider.
Each of the LG AKA phones is preloaded with a Snapshot app that will automatically add cute animation to your selfie pictures. It is loaded with LG’s new kit kat OS based emotional theme.
The phone comes with 2.1 megapixel front 720p camera. It includes LED flash, laser AF system, and a full high-definition 8.0 megapixels back camera. The camera supports imaging modes that are found in LG’s high-end phones. The slider of LG AKA and the wallpapers, ringtones, widgets, other UI elements loaded are this phone are painted with a cute character.
LG AKA comes with 1.5GB RAM. It supports NFC and 48GB of data. The ROM capacity is 16GB. This phone has a 1.2 GHz quad-core microprocessor. LG has not shared the model number or the processor manufacturer but I think the CPU is Snapdragon 400.
This handset includes high-definition 5 inch IPS capacitive touchscreen display. The battery has 2610 mAh capacity and it is removable. LG AKA supports LTE networks. It has Bluetooth 4.0, WiFi, USB and assisted GPS navigation technology. It would be sold in pink, white, navy and yellow color options for around 18000 Rs.
LG might be not launched in India if its upcoming handsets Magna, Leon, spirit, and joy failed to do well in the markets.
