The IFA 2015 event in Berlin has kickstarted and Acer is already in the news for its new gaming mobile devices and 3 new laptops. The handheld products from Acer pack with decent hardware and they should support every Android game title available on the play store. They also include a large screen that will make gaming more enjoyable.
The 1st device is a Predator 6 phone with monstrous specifications. It has Mediatek’s 1st deca-core X20 processor and 4GB RAM, Predator 6 comes with a 21 million pixel resolution camera and 6 inches screen.
The Acer Predator 8 is an Intel X7 CPU powered gaming tablet with 2GB of RAM and 8 inches full HD touchscreen display. It will have Intel HD graphics and 32 or 64GB capacity ROM. To know the complete specifications, you’ll have to wait for a couple of weeks.
Acer will launch Predator 8 and 6 this month itself. The price tag on both these devices should be within 300 to 400 dollars.
Acer’s new laptops are 6TH gen Aspire R13, V13 and an R11 Chromebook. Aspire R13 and V13 feature Intel’s latest Skylake processors and their price starts from $600 onwards. Acer will introduce entry level as well as high-end V13 laptops.
The budget variants will have latest Pentium chips coupled with decent storage space and sufficient RAM for running your favorite Windows/Linux software. They’ll also feature an HD display. The high-end machines will be suitable for gamers and graphic designers as they are equipped with SSD, core i7 chips, and 1080p display.
Just like Aspire V13, Acer has relaunched its Aspire R13 convertible laptop as the Skylake Intel processors are now officially available for consumers.
The company has kept the display, memory and battery specs unchanged. It has added a thunderbolt port for lightning fast data transfers and installed Windows 10 OS on the HDD of this laptop.
Along with the above 2 laptops, Acer has also introduced its 1st convertible Chromebook in the form of R11. This device has a screen that can be rotated up to 360 degrees. It has Intel Braswell Celeron N series processors and up to 4GB of system memory.
The Chromebook is expected to go on sale with 16GB and 32GB storage hardware. Its price should be around 300 dollars (18K).
