Microsoft Surface tablets have been the talk of the town ever since they were 1st launched. Though they are based on modern design and convertible to a desktop/laptop, many people think that the surface series hybrid computers are a little bit expensive (their pricing starts at Rs 60000 or 1000 dollars). HP had launched the Spectre 360 (a convertible ultrabook) as an alternative to the surface pro but as its pricing was same as Microsoft’s device, the Spectre 360 notebook failed to do well in the markets.

Lenovo has today unveiled Miix 700, a competitor to Microsoft surface line of computing devices. The highlighting feature of this hybrid notebook is the surface pro like design and a low price tag. The Miix 700 runs on Windows 10 operating system. It will feature up to 256GB SSD storage and Intel Skylake series 6th gen core M7 Intel processors.

This hybrid device will have a 12 inches touchscreen display with 4k or full HD resolution. It includes Real sense 3D Intel back 5 MP camera and integrated HD graphics chip. It has LPDD3RL 8GB RAM and 5 megapixels front shooter. It weighs around 780 grams. It will have 600+ minutes of battery life.

The 100s notebook has an eye catchy design and a 180 dollar price tag (around 11000 INR). It uses Celeron Intel N2840 CPU and an HD 11.6 inches display. 100s runs Google Chrome OS. The multitasking experience should be rich for the user as this machine includes 4GB RAM.

Chromebook 100s includes 32GB storage hardware, 1 megapixels webcam that supports HD resolution and 450+ minutes of battery backup. It will be available in some markets from October 2015 onward. This Lenovo laptop has 0.69 inches thickness and 1200 grams weight.

Well, the Chrome OS now supports a lot of popular applications. If you use some of these apps on a daily basis, the Chromebook is the right device for you else buy a budget Windows laptop for under 20000 Rs.
