Acer Aspire R13 and R14 laptops have been unveiled at the ongoing IFA event. Display of both these devices is mounted on a hinge. This gives users the freedom to position or rotate the screen up to 180 degrees (360 in the case of Aspire R14).
R13 from Acer costs around 70000 Rs (699 pounds). This laptop features Ezel Aero Hinge, hence it can be used in 6 different modes. It boasts a 13.30 inches touchscreen display. Its screen can be adjusted to a quad HD 2560 x 1440 or 1080p resolution. R13 uses Acer’s zero air gap and anti-fingerprint technology.
This laptop has a light sensor. Hence, the brightness of its screen is adjusted automatically. It has Core i7 or I5 processor and 8GB system memory. This device includes an SSD of 1TB storage capacity.
This drive supports RAID level 0. To deliver sound in HD quality, Acer Aspire R13 features purified voice and Dolby digital surround sound technology. This device is loaded with AccuFinger, screen grasp, Skype and Microsoft office software. R13 runs on Windows 8.1 operating system. Its screen is incorporated with Corning gorilla glass 3 technology.
Display of Aspire R14 can be rotated to an impressive 360 degrees as it is fitted with a dual-torque hinge. It has a slightly larger 14.0 inches display that features 1366 x 768 HD resolution. Under the hood, this laptop under 1000 dollars uses Core i3, i5 or i7 Intel processor to support multi-tasking.
Its primary memory can be extended up to 12 GB. It has 500 or 1 TB storage drive and a NVidia GeForce 820M GPU. Acer Aspire R14 is loaded with the same software as the R13. It is priced at 599 dollars (within 40000 Rs range in India).
