Apple Inc had earlier announced that it would allow developers to publish their own keyboard apps on its app store. After several months of announcement, itunes is all set to host popkey - the 1st 3rd party keyboard for your iPod, iPhone and Ipad device.
Instead of numbers or alphabets, popkey displays 100’s of animated gif files to you. The user has to tap on the displayed image and the app will request Apple’s imessage service to load it on your behalf just like a new tab gets opened in your browser when you click on any hyperlink in a webpage. Now you’ll be able to send a picture instead of words or a paragraph to any person in your contact list. If you don’t find a relevant image, you can make use of this software’s category listing. Popkey keyboard app lets you upload your own Gifs. It also allows you to bookmark them. It can display recently used images too.
The idea is interesting but it can confuse people who are not used to send stickers, smileys or other pictures to their friends via whatsapp or other messaging app. At times you may have to stress your brain really hard to choose a gif. Popkey will be first made available for IOS 8.0 users. It is expected to be there on Google Play store too. This software cannot be downloaded or installed as it has not been published yet.

I love my swiftkey keyboard. No one can ever replace it
