Mahindra Motors, one of the top vehicle manufacturer in India has launched its latest compact SUV named TV300. Mahindra has claimed that a battle tank has inspired the car’s design. It has launched 6 to 7 variants of TUV 300, each priced at 6.9 to 9.5 lakh Rs.
This car looks awesome, and it will give Renault Duster (the top SUV in similar price range) and other hatchbacks a run for its money. Here are the main five features of Mahindra TUV300 that you should know:
Mahindra TUV300 comes with a diesel mHawk 80 3 cylinders 1493cc engine that produces a superb torque of 230 NM and impressive displacement of 82.5 bhp. Some news sources claim that Mahindra will use the same 1.5-liter engine in its upcoming vehicles. The transmission system in this SUV is an Automatic standard type.
This SUV around 600000 has been designed keeping the user’s safety on a very high priority. Mahindra has added a lot of features to keep TUV300 as secure as possible.
This car has been installed with CBC module (based on BMW’s technology) that keeps its stable when the driver applies the brake at medium/high speeds. TUV300 also features EBD and Anti-lock braking system. It also includes two airbags. Thus, ensuring that both the front passengers are safe if the car meets with an accident. Very few cars within 6.0 to 10 lakh Rs include these four features.
If you look close, you’ll find that TUV300 has borrowed some of the classic looks of Mahindra Xylo. For example, both these cars have a similar front grille, headlamps, and bonnet.
Models and Pricing
As we’ve mentioned above, Mahindra has introduced several versions of TUV300. The variants are T4, T6, T8, and T6+. T4 can be considered as entry level TUV300, and it will feature two cars that are priced below 7.3 lakh. T6 series will include three models that will cost you within Rupees 7.5 and 8.5 lakh.
Mileage, availability and seating capacity
As its an SUV, Mahindra TUV300 is expected to have a mileage within 17 to 19 KMPL. This car can carry seven persons at a time (Most SUV allow only five passengers). It will be available Blue, Red, Silver, Glacier, orange, white and black color options. You can book or test ride this car at your nearest Mahindra dealer.
During the launch event, the chairperson of the company, MR Mahindra expressed his concern over the rising popularity of ride-sharing apps like Uber. According to Anand Mahindra, auto sales are likely to be affected with such services.
The chairperson should not worry about ride-sharing companies as the TV300 SU looks stunning and its features are excellent. The taxi services should not affect the sales of this car.
