Huawei would be soon launching the successor to the MediaPad 7 tablet. This tablet would come with the upgraded features of its predecessor and it has been named as MediaPad 7 Youth2. Powered with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 200 1.2 GHz quad core processor, Youth2 from the Chinese MNC runs the Android 4.3 jelly bean operating system.
Expected to be priced internationally around 120$ (around below 7000 Rs in India), this budget device offers support for 3G connectivity. It comes with voice calling support, 1GB RAM, 4GB onboard data storage memory.
The storage of this Android tablet under 15000 Rs can be expanded via a 32 GB MicroSD card. Measuring 193.4 x 120.6 x 9.9 in dimensions, this device sports a 7 inch IPS TFT capacitive touchscreen display that has a 1024 x 600 pixel screen resolution. Youth2 uses a aluminum body which makes it stronger and durable. This tablet weighs just 350 grams.
This tablet under 15000 Rs uses latest Emotion 1.6 user interface. It would have a 3 megapixel rear 0.3 MP VGA front camera. MediaPad 7 Youth2 uses a 4100 mAh lithium polymer battery. Thus it ensures good talktime/standby time on 3G as well as 2G networks. Other features of this upcoming tablet includes 2G, EDGE support, support for bluetooth, WiFi, MicroUSB slot..etc.
Yesterday, Samsung had also unveiled its upcoming budget tablet named Galaxy Tab 3 Lite. Samsung’s device has almost the same specs (including the price) as the MediaPad 7 Youth2. Thus if you’re not a huge fan of Huawei, you can go for the Galaxy Tab 3 Lite. Samsung’s device can be considered as a good alternative to this huawei tablet.
Update: MediaPad Youth 2 has ben launched in India for an attractive price tag within 6800 to 7000. Flipkart is selling this tablet for the best price.
