Canon has officially revealed the specifications of its most powerful DSLR cameras, the EOS 5DS and 5DSR DSLR. According to Canon, these 2 devices feature a 50.7 megapixel sensor that can capture images suitable for large advertising banners as well as magazine. Due to its large sensor size, they are suitable for adventure and nature photography too.
The sensor is based on Canon’s CMOS technology and it supports high resolution photography. The pictures captured with the 2 cameras have the lowest noise and finest colors that you’ll ever come across. They come installed with digic 6 processor. 5DS-R uses its low pass filter + CPU for eliminating noise in photos. 5DSR relies on the processor for the same. Canon EOS 5DS, 5DS-R have the ability to capture 4+ frames per second. They have a maximum IOS sensitivity of 50-12800. The cameras feature many new crop shooting modes that can be managed via the viewfinder. Both EOS 5DS-R and 5DS come with a powerful 61 point auto-focus system that ensures crystal clear and sharp image/video output.
For color and face detection, these 2 canon cameras use EOS ITR technology. The iTR ensures constant focus on every object that the photographer wants to capture in the image. Just like many other DSLR’s from Sony, Canon, Samsung,…etc, the upcoming EOS series cameras with 50.7 MP sensor supports HDR, metering, multiple exposure. They feature a large 3.2 inch ClearView LCD that allows users to manage camera modes and settings. Most DSLRs have 2.8 inch screen. Anyways, the display of Canon EOS 5DS-R and 5DS is made up of anti-glare material. Thus users wont face difficult times in configuring the settings in sunny weather conditions.
When it comes to pricing, Canon will sell its latest cameras for a price within 4500 to 5500 dollars (between 2.5 and 3.5 lakh Rs in India). Both the devices will be sold from June 2015 onwards.
