Asus has added a highly customizable gaming desktop to its ROG series. Dubbed as G20, this latest PC has a motherboard mounted with Intel H97 processor and Asus HD 7.1 SonicMaster sound card. It supports 64 bit Windows 8.1 OS. This device can be configured with Intel Core i7, i3 or i5 processors. It features a 16 pin PCI connector.
Asus ROG G20 supports NVIDIA GeForce GT series DDR3/DDR5 graphics card. Its cheapest model comes with a dual-channel 2GB 1600 MHz RAM of DDR3 architecture.
Users are allowed to expand the system memory up to a monstrous 16 GB. ROG G20 is fitted with a 256 GB SSD and a 3 TB capacity HDD. It can be stuffed with a Blu-RAY writer or a DVD burner.
This Asus gaming desktop under 1000 dollars requires 180 to 230 watts of power. G20 requires just 20W when it’s idle, thanks to its energy-efficient motherboard.
This device uses latest Asus cooling technology to keep the hardware temperature in normal ranges. At the highest configuration, this gaming desktop can play videos at 4K resolutions.
G20 includes Bluetooth, HDMI, WiFi and RJ-45 LAN connectivity options. It has a 6.3 KG weight. It measures 4.0 x 13.3 x 14.09 inches in dimensions. G20 comes preinstalled with a hardware performance monitoring software named Aegis.
This application gives users details on the temperature of your computer’s hardware components. ROG G20 from Asus will be launched within a couple of months for a starting price of 800 dollars (Rs 48000 in India).
