Samsung has introduced a new flagship S5 Plus phone to its galaxy series. This new handset offers faster and stable LTE connectivity than its earlier version. The company claims that S5 plus supports file downloads at 300 MBPS and it uploads data at 49.9 MBPS. Thus, you can download 1 GB file within just 60 seconds. The handset comes with a Qualcomm’s latest 2.5 GHz Snapdragon 805 SoC. This chip is based on Krait 450 computing architecture.
The phone is fitted with the newest and the most powerful version of Adreno GPU. It is loaded with a range of connectivity options.
There’re DLNA, WiFi, UMTS, GSM, Bluetooth and NFC modules installed in the Samsung galaxy S5 plus. This device also features ANT+, Beido, GLONASS, 3.5 mm headphone jack. It includes mobile high-definition link port to support connections with compatible UHD and HDTV TVs.
This phone’s other specifications remains the same as the Galaxy S5 i.e 2 GB RAM, 2800 mAh battery, IP67 certification, and Android Kit Kat 4.4 OS. It includes a 16 megapixels rear snapper, micro SIM card slot, LED flash, 16 GB ROM, and a full HD 5.1 inches capacitive touchscreen AMOLED display.
As of now, this MHL enabled phone can be purchased only in Netherlands and some other nations. It is available is various color options. Visit Samsung’s website for complete features and specifications of this phone.
Update: The flop show from S5 plus has forced Samsung to drop its price tag in several countries. Unfortunately, this handset was not launched here in India. Its predecessor, the S5 is now available for within 25K to 27000 on Flipkart and Snapdeal. Thus, if you’re looking a mid-range phone with a premium finish and high-resolution camera, this device is a good option. I’ve covered its alternatives in the best smartphones under 25000 Rs article.
