With back to back phone launches, Micromax is trying to strengthen its presence in the country even further. If this continues, the company will soon replace Samsung as the leading brand in India. Yesterday, we shared with the details of Micromax’s upcoming phone in India - the canvas duet 2.
With this and a few more phones in the launch queue, today the company launched its latest budget Funbook series tablet named P280. Priced around 4000 - 5000 Rs, this cheap micromax tablet houses specifications that can be considered excellent for its budget price. With a 7 inch IPS capacitive touchscreen display, this Android tablet under 5000 Rs runs the Android jelly bean 4.2 operating system.
The display of this budget tablet sports a 480 x 800 pixel screen resolution. Unlike most of the devices below 5k, P280 has a 512 MB RAM and a 4GB on-board storage. This device features a 1000 MHz single core processor, VGA 0.3 MP front camera. P280 should be powered for long hours as it has a 2400 mAh battery.

At the official launch, The co-owner of Micromax - Mr Vikas Jain quoted “Owing to the increased consumption of entertainment on mobile devices, we have tried to provide users with their one stop entertainment device with the Funbook P280.
