Recently, Dell had introduced a budget gaming desktop Area 51, now the computer manufacturer has launched its Alienware 13 laptop. The company is selling this device through its website for a starting price tag of $949 (below 60000 in India).

This notebook can be paired with Dell’s Alienware graphics amplifier to improve the GPU performance. To install this module, you’ll have to spend an extra $300. This laptop has 1.0 inches thick body and 2.04 KG weight. It supports Core i7 and i5 Haswell U series CPU and NVidia 860M GPU. Its cheapest model is equipped with a 13.0 inches display that has 1366 x 768 pixels resolution. For better gaming experience, users can upgrade the display to FHD or quad-HD resolutions. This is a good movie by Dell as no one would spend 50000+ Rs in an HD laptop.

Dell Alienware 13 is fitted with a 1 terabyte hard disk drive of 5400 RPM. Just like the display, you can replace or pair the HDD with SSD. This laptop can be configured with 16GB dual channel RAM modules. Hardcore gamers are recommended to use this memory configuration.

The laptop includes Bluetooth, Windows OS, SD card reader, high definition web camera, USB, RJ45 LAN and HDMI port. This is not surprising as most other laptops come with these features. It will compete with CyberPower III HX6 and other gaming laptops under 70000.

Dell Alienware 13

  • Multi-core GPU and CPU.
  • Fully customizable.
  • 13.3 inches display.

This Graphics amplifier is an interesting concept from Dell. It boosts the performance of all types of games but it can consume a lot of power. Thus, increasing your monthly electricity bills. The amplifier’s price is expected to be cut down by half in the coming days. Anyways, Dell 13’s is expected to be introduced in India by March 2015.
