BSNL’s partner Champion computers has introduced its entry-level handset Apna Phone SQ35 for 1800 Rs via Snapdeal. Preloaded with whatsapp, facebook and twitter apps, this device offers good specs for its reasonable price tag. It is fitted with a 3.5 inch touchscreen. It has a 1.3 MP snapper at the back.
The phone features FM Radio and it boasts 2 Sim card slots. It comes with a web-browser. Thus you can get access to the Internet via GPRS service. SQ35 packs with a 8GB micro SD card slot. It comes with a built-in loudspeaker. Battery included in this phone gives 145 x 60 talk-time minutes.
Champion Apna SQ35 will be a good competitor to the Jivi JSP 20. Priced at 2000 Rs, JSP is a handset loaded with Android GingerBread 2.3 OS. Jivi has added a 128 MB RAM, 1350 mAh batter and 0.256 GB storage to this smartphone. This device can be stuffed with microSD 32GB cards. It features several options for connecting with local or WAN networks. It is pre-installed with various social networking apps and YouTube. It also includes a torchlight with light emitting diode. The mobile from Jivi has 2.0 MP rear camera and it supports over 5 local Indian languages.
Both the above handsets will rival Nokia and Firefox devices in 1500 to 3000 Rs range. Well, there are a lot of Nokia phones below 2000 Rs in the markets. But they all lack touchscreen feature. Thus if you’re planning to buy a touchscreen mobile within 1500 to 2000 range, go for SQ35 or Firefox phones. You’ll enjoy better features (including internet connectivity). You’ll also get an access to Google play store through which you can download various utilities, apps and light-weight games.
