Vivo X5 Max -slimmest octa core phone coming soon to India

Last week, Vivo had announced that it would sell smartphones in India in partnership with Viacom 18. Yesterday, the Chinese firm has confirmed that it would start off its India operations with X5 Max - the slimmest octa core handset in the world. The phone will be launched on/before 15th of December for a budget price. Thus replacing Gionee Elife S5.5 as the slimmest Android handset in the country.

Well, Vivo is yet to reveal the phone’s hardware configuration. But recently, X5 Max has successfully passed TENAA certification tests and its results were out on TENAA’s official website. The results revealed some of the important specs of this handset.

As per TENAA’s listing, X5 max from Vivo is a 4.75 mm thin Android Kit Kat (v4.4.4) phone. It has full high-definition (1080p) IPS touchscreen 5.5 inch LCD. It features an octa-core 1700 megahertz processor coupled with MALI/PowerVR GPU. The phone has a 145.9 grams weight. It is attached with 13.0 megapixel back camera with AF system and LED flash. It is incorporated with a front facing 5.0 MP camera. The phone has 2GB of system memory (RAM). It is 4G-LTE network compatible. It is expected to support storage expansion via 128GB MicroSD cards. It will feature 16GB capacity ROM, Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-F, 3G and a headphone jack.

If Vivo X5 Max is priced in India within Rs 15000 to 17000, it will compete with S5.5 from Gionee, Galaxy Grand 2 and the upcoming Xiaomi Mi4. If priced below 10K, the phone will prove to be a very good alternative to Redmi Note.
