After introducing a couple of Galaxy E and A series handsets in the past 3 or 4 months, Samsung has now launched its octa-core Galaxy A7 phone in India. This new dual SIM phone is thin, light and powerful. It is available in Golden, black, white color options on Samsung’s online store. Each model of Galaxy A7 is priced at 30500 Rupees.
The Samsung Galaxy A7 is a 64 bits phone that houses 8 Cortex A53 Snapdragon MSM8x cores. Half of the CPU’s in this handset clock at 1.5 GHz, the remaining have a bit lower clock rate of 1.0 GHz/sec.
This handset has 2GB SDRAM. Thus, it should offer better Android experience than handsets with DDR3, DDR3L RAM modules. A7 weighs 143 grams and it has 16GB onboard storage memory. It can read and write files from/to 64 GB capacity SD cards.
This Samsung phone’s storage comes preloaded with power saver apps, Android Kit Kat operating system, Samsung TouchWiz themes and a camera app that includes 2 latest selfie modes. It also features a music player app that can play 20+ format of audio files.
Galaxy A7’s 5.5 inch IPS touchscreen display is based on super AMOLED technology. It has 400+ pixel density and 1920 x 1080 pixel full high definition resolution.
A7 supports playback of FHD video files at 30 frames per second. The phone can record 1080 pixel resolution videos with its front facing 5.0 MP and rear 13.0 megapixels camera. It packs with 2600 mAh battery and 6 sensors (geo-magnetic, gyro, proximity, RGB, hall and light sensors). It supports NFC, Assisted GPS, Bluetooth 4.0, USB, WiFi, EDGE, GPRS and 3G connectivity.
The Samsung Galaxy A7 phone is costly as Micromax Yureka with octa-core Snapdragon chip costs just 9k Rs (3 times lower price). But if you prefer using phones from popular and branded companies, you can go ahead and invest your 30K rs in Galaxy A7.
