Panasonic Lumix LX100 and GM5 cameras launched

Panasonic has added 2 new MFT system based cameras - LX100 and GM5 to its Lumix series. Both devices are installed with MOS 16.84 MP sensor with a primary color filter. LX100 has an aperture lens of F1.7 to 16.0 range. It supports optical zoom and OIS functions.

It features LEICA lens and a live view finder. It records 3840 x 2160 pixel videos at 25 FPS and 4K pictures of 16:9, 4:3 aspect ratios.

It includes brightness, contrast, noise, red-eye, sharpness reduction and auto-focus function. It features self-timer, 4 playback modes (image slideshow and video) and a 7.5 cm TFT LCD with AR coating + support for wide-angle views. Panasonic Lumix LX100 packs with a flash system, LI-ON 1025 mAh battery, SD card slot and a HDMI port. This Panasonic camera has 210 grams weight and it will cost you $800.

On the other hand, GM5 is a mirrorless camera that features digital zoom. It has a dust reduction and contrast based auto-focus system along with an aperture f3.5-F5.6 lens .

This camera is capable to detect and track objects of various shapes. GM5 captures MP4, AVCHD format videos and MPO, JPG and RAW images. Priced around 900 dollars (Rs 54000 in India), Panasonic Lumix GM5 is fitted with a flash, a slot for SD cards. It is equipped with the same 3.0 inch display as the LX100. It uses a 680 mAh capacity battery. GM5 weighs 0.2 kilograms and measures around 98.5 x 59.5 x 36.1 mm in dimensions.
