NVidia had unveiled its Shield gaming tablet in July. Today, the company has made the device available for preorder in 16 and 32GB storage versions. Priced at 300, Shield with 16 GB ROM supports Bluetooth and WiFi.
It doesn’t connects with GSM networks. 32GB variant is 4G-LTE enabled voice calling tablet that costs 400 dollars. It is packed with Tegra K1 NVidia 192 core GPU along with a Cortex A15 architecture based 2200 MHz ARM processor.
Such configuration is usually found in high-end gaming desktops and laptops with directx 12/Open GL 4.0 engines. Thus users will love playing HD games and videos on Shield. This tablet has a multi-touch 8.0 inch full-HD display, dual stereo speakers and bass reflex port at the front. It can be coupled with Wireless controllers.
It is loaded with NVidia hub app that functions as a bookmark to Google Play, Pandora, Netflix and many other popular internet services. This 8 inch tablet can recognize words scribbled by users on the screen with DirectStylus. It comes with JusWrite note taking app + other useful softwares like Evernote and Adobe PDF reader.
Nvidia Shield LTE is fitted with front/rear 5.0 MP AF camera and Android 4.4 Kit Kat OS. It features a 20 WHr battery, 2 GB RAM and gyro, compass, accelerometer 3 axis sensors. Weighing 0.39 kg, the device is 7.62 mm thick and 126.0 mm wide. Unlocked NVidia Shield supports AT&T networks. In India, you can buy this gaming tablet via amazon for under 30000 Rs.
