Micromax is trying to extend its customer base in India by launching affordable smartphones every week. Last week they had launched the the Canvas EGO smartphone and now they have listed a successor to the Bolt A35 and A40 on its portal. This smartphone is expected to hit the markets in the coming weeks and should be priced around or less than 5000 Rupees.
Talking about the specifications, Bolt A40 is a full fledged Dual Sim smartphone with 3G, Android (Ginger Bread) OS, 512 MB RAM, 512 MB storage, FM Radio,…etc.
Display and OS:- This Micromax phone runs the Android ginger bread v 2.3 operating system and has a 4.5” TFT multi touch capacitive display that has a pixel density around 217 and a 480 by 854 pixels screen resolution.
Processor and Memory:- Accompanied with a 512 MB RAM and an internal data storage memory of 512 MB (in which 75 MB is available for storage and the rest occupied by the O.S / Applications + Utility programs which includes a music player that has the ability to play your favorite video/audio files, a document viewer for viewing pdf or any other documents,. ..etc), This smartphone is powered with a single core Spreadtrum SC6820 processor that has a clock speed of 1GHz.You can even expand the storage capacity of this phone through a 32 GB MicroSD card.
Camera:- Bolt A40 is a dual camera smartphone that has a 2.5 MP rear camera (with LED flash, Digital Zoom, Geo Tagging ) and a front VGA 0.3 MP camera. While the front camera can be used to make video calls/ participate in Video chats, the rear camera can be used to record QVGA videos at 30 frames per second.
Battery and weight:- This smartphone weighs around 117-120 grams, and is backed up with a 1500 mAh lithium ion battery that gives the Bolt A40 a total talktime around 175 hours and a total standby time around 4.5 hours.
