Lenovo is all set to launch its first windows operating system based tablet. This device would be called Miix2 and its price is expected to be around 299$. With this move from Lenovo, we can assume that the Chinese computer manufacturer seems to have recognized the power of the upgraded Windows 8 OS.
Unlike Android, Windows tablet market isn’t flooded with 100’s of tablets. So this move from Lenovo can be considered as a smart one. Miix2 specifications includes a 2GB main memory, quad core Intel processor and 9.0’’ display. Miix2 would be available for purchase in three different storage capacities. Miix2 would be running the Windows 8.1 operating system and it measures 8.48 by 5.18 by 0.3 inches in dimensions. Weighing just 350 Grams, it sports a 8.0” IPS LCD capacitive touch screen multi touch display with a 1280 by 800 pixels screen resolution. The pixels density of Miix2 is around 190 ppi. It is equipped with a Intel Bay Trail-T quad core processor and Intel HD graphics processor.
Talking about the memory specifications, Lenovo Miix2 comes with a 2 GB DDR3 RAM and has an internal data storage capacity of 32 GB. The storage of this budget windows 8 tablet is expandable through a 32 GB MicroSD card. The cameras of this tablet are impressive too.
It has a 5 MP rear camera (with LED flash, Geo Tagging), a 2 MP front camera and comes with USB ports, Bluetooth, WI-Fi network connectivity, Loudspeaker and supports GPS navigation. Lenovo Miix2 comes with few inbuilt sensors (like an accelerometer) as well.As this device runs Microsoft’s Winodws 8.1 OS, we can expect this tablet to have softwares like Microsoft Office installed with this tablet.
