One such latest device is Kepler - a portable gadget that can automatically check for gas leaks in your office or house.

Unlike many other detectors, this device alerts the user only when gases reach high risk levels. To make user aware of a leak, Kepler flashes light and play sounds simultaneously. It can even alert the user on smartphone with Kepler app. This gadget comes with a battery that supports charging via USB. When it is charged completely, kepler’s battery can last for 1.5 to 2 hours. This device makes use of WiFi at your place for phone alerts.

Kepler can be mounted on any solid surface. It can connect to more than 10 smartphones simultaneously. This gadget can detect gases like LPG, Methane, hydrogen and carbon monoxide. It will go on sale from November onward in blue, white and red color options for a price around 60$. As of now, Kepler is on crowd-funding mode on kickstarter.
