Vaio launches Z and Z canvas hybrid touch laptops

Due to the poor computer sales, Sony had decided to put an end to its partnership with Vaio. Vaio is now an independent organization that is trying to compete with established computer manufacturers like Dell, HP, Acer and Asus. It looks like Sony has quit the computer business as it hasn’t launched any laptop or desktop ever-since it sold Vaio to some Japanese company. Vaio is still serious about its core business. It has launched 2 new convertible laptops, the Vaio Z and Z canvas.

Vaio Z is a powerful hybrid touch laptop that supports 16 or 8GB of RAM. It can be configured with 512 or 256GB solid state drive. This laptop has a 13 inch touchscreen LCD with 2560 x 1440 pixel resolution. The LCD features anti-fingerprint and anti-glare technologies. This Vaio laptop comes with the powerful quad-core Intel 5th generation Core i7 processor. Vaio Z uses Intel IRIS high definition graphics chip. It features InstantGo technology that reduces the OS boot time to just 0.3 seconds. It has been installed with a smart cooling system that doesn’t produces loud sound when you’re using the laptop. Vaio Z hybrid laptop has a long battery life of 900 minutes. It can be be purchased in Japan for 1600 dollars.

Z canvas is an upcoming hybrid laptop and Vaio has revealed very few features of it. According to Vaio, this device has a 12.1 IPS touchscreen display with 2K+ resolution, Intel graphics and CPU. The display part of Z canvas can be detached from the keyboard. Vaio is expected to start selling Z canvas in the 1st week of June 2015.

Vaio Z and Z Canvas laptops can be easily transformed into HD tablets. They feature Intel HD audio, stereo mic, speakers, HDMI, USB ports. They have WLAN, SD card reader and RJ45 LAN port. These 2 laptops can get user input through a digitizer.
