Redmi 1s OTA update v45 to fix low memory and overheating issues

Redmi 1s from Xiaomi is an awesome budget phone that is being sold through Flipkart for just Rs 5999. It offers MIUI, 1GB RAM and Snapdragon MSM8228 quad-core processor for multi-tasking. Surprisingly, the device has received an average 3.5 rating from 1000’s of its users.

The reason why it has received such a low rating is because of 2 major issues users that most of its Indian users face. Many people complain that the phone gets overheated after few hours of usage and it offers low volume of RAM to run games or apps.

To solve these 2 issues, Xiaomi has today rolled out a Redmi 1s OTA update v45. According to Hugo Barra, this new update solves the overheating and low system memory issues and it also improves the battery life of the handset. Xiaomi’s engineers have tweaked the MIUI to cut down its RAM usage. Thus you shouldn’t experience any lags while using the camera, playing 3D games or when searching for files, contact in this device.

So if you own this phone, don’t forget to update it. But before you do that, make sure that you have activated an unlimited or 3G data plan and charge the battery upto 80%.
