Yesterday, 2 new computing devices were introduced in India. Micromax has come up with Canvas LapTab, a convertible laptop that will be available exclusively on Amazon India shopping website from 6th of May onwards. Laptab is the first hybrid laptop from Micromax and it will be sold for 14999 Rs (below 15000). LG’s most successful line of mid range tablets has been updated as 3G version of G Pad 8.0 has been introduced for 21000 Indian Rupees. The WiFi only version of G Pad 8.0 is already retailing in India for under 18K. Anyways, the latest devices from LG & Micromax have single SIM slot and 4 core processor.
The Canvas laptap is an interesting computing device as it can be converted from laptop to tablet (and vice versa) easily. It is Windows 8.1 operating system loaded hybrid laptop with Intel Atom quad core processor. The CPU supports burst mode and its max clock speed is 1830 MHz. Windows 10 update will be rolled out in the coming months. Thus you can easily update the OS of Canvas Laptab. This machine features a 10.1 inch IPS WXGA touchscreen display (resolution is 1280 x 800 pixels).
It has DDR3L technology based 2GB RAM. There’s 32GB storage memory and microSD card expansion slot in the Laptab. Laptab users are allowed store 1000 GB data to Microsoft OneDrive cloud servers. This Micromax device device has a 7700 mAh capacity battery, 9.945 millimeter thickness, 2 MP web-camera and 1100 grams weight. Many laptops below 20000 Rupees feature similar specs. Thus Micromax Canvas laptptab is a value for money device.
The 3G variant of LG G Pad 8.0 has a 8 inch display with the same resolution as Canvas Laptab. It features Snapdragon quad-core Qualcomm processor, 1GB RAM and 16GB internal storage. G Pad 8.0 features Kit Kat OS, 1.3 megapixel front camera. It packs with 4200 mAh battery and 5.0 MP back camera. The specifications of G Pad 8.0 are not very impressive. You can buy much better and powerful tablets for within 13000 to 15000 Rupees. MI Pad gaming tablet with Nvidia tegra processor, FHD screen is listed on Flipkart & Amazon for 12000. Iball slide octa with 8 core CPU, 2GB RAM is retailing online for a similar price tag.
