6 Flares 6 Flares ×

Wake up call services are usually online and they require you to register an account on the site. The user has to pay a fee to use them. These services can be useful when you’ve to wake your dear ones up when you’re at a distant location. They can be even used for personal purposes. To save some bucks, we can simulate free wake up call for ourselves in Android and IOS (Iphone or Ipad) devices using some some cool apps. Google play and Apple app store has thousands of free utilities for the users and we’ll need to use just 3 of them in this task. Confused? go through the below tutorial:

Step 1: Install any of the best free voice recorder app on IOS/Android tablet or phone. Now run it and record a wake up message in your tone. Once you do this, save the message to microSD or ROM. Now locate the location where your phones default ringtone is saved. Copy the file to the same location where the recorded tone is stored.

Step 2: Install any app that has the capability to combine audio files. Once it has been installed, run the application and merge the message in your voice and ring tone files into one. Proceed further when you’re done with this step.

Step 3: Every android device comes with an inbuilt alarm clock. If it’s not customizable then install the best alarm clock software on your device. Run this utility and change its tone to the file you’ve created in the above step. Now set a time when the alarm should trigger and don’t forget to turn its repeat feature on. This will simulate a wake up call as if you’re using some paid online service.

Done!

I hope you’ve found this DIY project to simulate free wake up call useful.
