Sony’s latest Action camera - mini POV (point of view shot) will be launched by the end of October 2014 for 250 dollars. It features the company’s latest Exmor Rs 11.9 MP sensor. This shooter can record XAVC and FHD videos at the rate of 50 MBPS or 120 FPS. This is an impressive rate.
Based on IPX4 standard, mini pov is resistant to splashes. It is fitted into a water-resistant case. This Sony device is endowed with steadyshot technology. Thus the images and videos captured through it are noise free. This camera allows its users to record at various angles (up to 170 degrees).
It comes with Carl ZEISS Tessar Lens and BIONZ X image processor. The CPU takes input from sensor, lens and it generates high quality media content. The image/video output resolution can be changed. Sony Action cam mini works well underwater and in low light conditions. It features a LCD screen. The display’s brightness can be adjusted manually. This device supports Live View Remote feature. It also lets you overlay GPS data. Movie creator supports 2 modes of editing - fast and slow. In India, this camera will be priced at 15000 Rs. To be honest, Sony POV is worth its price. The Carl Zeiss lens is this camera’s most interesting feature. Sony Mini POV will give a tough competition to GoPro Hero3 and the upcoming Hero4.
