LAVA has today launched a new 7 inch tablet named R704 for around 8500 Rs. This device belongs to the firms’s QPad series. It comes with Snapdragon 400 quad-core 1.2 GHz CHIP and 1024 x 600 pixel resolution. The Snapdragon 400 CPU is powering many top Android phones in India.
Redmi 1s from Xiaomi uses this chip and you know well how popular this phone is in India. Performance of this Lava machine should be good. Spadragon processor is not the only impressive feature of this budget tablet. R704 packs with some of the coolest Qualcomm technologies. There’s a Q-ICE module to improve internet browsing experience. There’s Snapdragon audio system and codec for delivering high quality sound.
LAVA QPad R704 supports quick charge function. It houses a 3500 mAh battery that can be charged upto 69.9% in just 1800 seconds. This tablet features Android 4.3 operating system. LAVA has promised a Kit kAt update for this device later this year. Users that update their devices with this OS have experience much better multi-tasking performance. R704 has 8GB of internal storage space and 1GB RAM. It is fitted with a front 0.3 MP VGA camera. At the backside of R704, you’ll find a 2.0 megapixel shooter. This tablet comes with slots reserved for SIM and microSD cards. Thus you can make voice calls with it.
Celkon has also launched its XIOM S 6.95 inch tablet today for a 7500 Rupees price tag. This device has a dual core 1200 MHz CPU, 1GB RAM, 5.0 MP rear camera, Android Kit Kat 4.4 OS, 8 GB ROM and 1GB RAM. It packs with a 2500 mAh capacity battery.
