Google had earlier announced its Android One program in which the company promised to roll out regular OS updates for all budget smartphones launched as a part of this project. Devices participating in this program have finally started to show up on various eCommerce sites.
Micromax has listed its Canvas A1 phone on Amazon and Spice UNO Mi 498 has been launched via Flipkart. Karbonn Sparkle V is available on Snapdeal. Keeping its dimensions aside, each of the above phone have similar specs and they are priced around 6000 Rs in India.
The 3 devices are loaded with Kit Kt 4.4 OS. They are stuffed with MALI 400 GPU and a Mediatek 1300 MHz quad-core CPU. Under the hood, the Android One phones pack with a 1GB RAM, LI-ON 1700 mAh battery and a 4GB storage. They support HSPA 3G, Bluetooth, WiFi, GPRS, dual Sim (with GSM) connectivity. The handsets are fitted with an IPS FWVGA 4.50 inch display. They include a 5.0 MP back and 2.0 megapixel front camera. Each phone has a LED flash. It has FM Radio, microSD card slot and an USB port. Micromax Canvas A1 users will get free 35 GB storage space on Google Drive. Sparkle V and Mi 498 lets you surf internet for free (up-to 200 MB data transfer).
