HP Pro Slate 12 and Slate 8 Kit Kat tablets coming soon

HP is expected to launch 2 new business edition tablets named Slate 12 and slate 8 in the coming days. These tablets can recognize scribbled characters on the screen if scribble words or characters through ultrasound technology enabled digital pen. Thus if you’re journalist, you can easily note down key-points of discussions, interview or a presentation without carrying a pen and paper. To be honest, this would be the 1st series of tablets with such incredible feature.

The tablets use quad-core 2300 MHz Snapdgraon 801 CPU for handling games and Android 4.4 Kit Kat OS compatible apps. Thus these 2 tabs can be considered extremely powerful. HP Pro Slate 12 packs with a 12.0 inch IPS touchscreen display. It supports 10 fingers multi-touch and 1600 x 1200 pixel resolution. It has a weight within 290 to 310 grams and 8.89 mm thickness. This device includes Corning Gorilla glass protection, 8 megapixel rear auto-focus camera and 32 GB of on-board data storage space. HP Pro Slate 12 will be a good competitor to Google Nexus 9. It should do well in the markets.

Slate 8 on other hand comes with a smaller 7.7″ display. It has much crisper and better screen resolution than its sibling Slate 12. It includes a decent 16 GB ROM and 7 megapixel back shooter.

The above 2 devices are enabled with 2 GB RAM. Thus they can be used for professional or gaming purposes. They support microSD cards, LE-Bluetoooth 4.0, USB, 3G, miracast and 4G-LTE network connectivity. They have compass, barometer, accelerometer, light and gyroscope sensors.

These 2 HP tablets include a front facing 2.0 MP snapper, Adreno 330 image processor and SIM card slot. They’re are preinstalled with HP, Google apps and Kingsoft office suite. They’ll compete with Amazon Kindle, Samsung Galaxy and Apple IPad series of tablets. Thus they’re expected to cost within 250 to 400$ (15000 to 24000 Rs).
