BSNL Champion SM3513 3512 dual core phones launched

5 months after the launch of 3G enabled Trendy 531 in India, the leading telecom operator BSNL has introduced two brand new phones to its Champion series. Named as SM3512 and SM3513, these two mobiles are dual core processor powered 2G enabled devices.Both share almost the same specifications that includes a 3.5 inch touchscreen display, WiFi, Bluetooth, FM Radio support, 2G network connectivity, 32 GB MicroSD card support. The only difference between SM3512 and SM3513 is that Champion SM3513 supports 3G network connectivity whereas SM3512 lacks this feature.Both belong to the 3000 - 5000 Rs range and have Android jelly bean operating system installed.

Champion SM3512, SM3513 come with a 3.5 inch IPS capacitive touchscreen display that has a 480 x 800 pixel screen resolution. Both have a 3 megapixel rear camera, 1.3 megapixel front camera and are backed up with a 1300 mAh lithium ION battery (that gives these 2 phones 6 hours of talktime, 1300 hours of standby time). Running the Android 4.2.2 jelly bean operation system, My Phone SM3513 is 3G enabled dual Sim (GSMA + GSM) device that has a 4000 - 4500 Rs price tag. Cheaper than Champion SM3513, SM3512 lacks 3G network connectivity and is priced in India around 3000 - 3200 Rs.

The market in tier 2 and 3 cities is ripe for such a product offering as the consumers are becoming increasingly tech-savvy and the demand for user-friendly products is very high.”. Mr Srivastava of BSNL added “With the evolution of Internet, the usage of Internet-based applications has tremendously grown as it has now become convenient to carry out daily business tasks like banking and other tasks and the Champion products are a perfect solution for the same. BSNL also has an agreement for sale of bundled devices with Champion Computers and have also launched a special 3G data plan for tablets which include 500MB free data + 50 Minutes On-Net Voice calls per month for 6 months.”
