Zopo’s successor to its ZP998 plus phone will be soon launched in more than 30 countries. Labeled as ZP999, this Android 4.4 Kit Kat running handset features a 2200 MHz octa-core Mediatek MT6595M processor and a capacitive 5.5 inches touch screen display. The display is large and it gives the phone an elegant look. ZP999 is expected to outperform its MTK6592 powered predecessor.
This device from Zopo has 2700 mAh battery and 5.0 megapixels front-facing cameras. It packs with 600 MHz rated PowerVR G6200 GPU. ZP999’s rear snapper is fitted with an F2.0 lens mounted 14 MP sensor and it captures FHD videos. This smartphone weighs 145 grams and it measures 5.96 x 3.0 x 0.36 inches in dimensions. Thus, ZP999 is easy to carry. It is compatible with TD + FDD LTE and WCDMA networks.
Zopo will introduce 2 variants of ZP999. The standard version will cost below 300$ and its screen carries a 1280 x 720 pixels resolution. It has 16GB of flash storage memory, microSD slot, FM Radio and 2GB of RAM. The 300$ price tag seems to be bit high for an HD screen equipped phone. Its sibling has the right specs for its $330 price tag. Zopo ZP999 Pro packs with a 32GB ROM and 3GB RAM. Its display comes with 1920 x 1080 resolution.
Both standard and pro versions have the same design. They include Bluetooth, WiFi, 3.5 mm headphone jack and microUSB port. They’ll rival Snapdragon 801 CPU and Adreno GPU packed IUNI U3, Huawei Honor 6 and OnePlus One in India. Zopo is a popular brand in some parts of the world. It is not well known here in India. It can become a renowned brand here if it prices octa-core handsets below 10000 Rs.
