UMI Zero has been listed on some online Chinese phone retailers for a price below 300$ (Rs 18150 in India), but the handset has not been made available for customers yet. As per one of the ecommerce site’s listing, this device has a true octa-core Mediatek 2.0 GHz chip that supports WCDMA connectivity. Zero’s super Amoled 5.0 inch display has a pixel density well over 440 and it has a 1080 pixel resolution. The handset uses 2 LED flash lights with a 13.0 megapixel Sony MX sensor to support recording HD videos. Its back camera comes with f1.8 aperture lens. The phone is thinner than Meizu’s MX4 and Apple’s iPhone 6. UMI has decided to use a full metal body design to make this device durable.
The company has employed edge coating and corning gorilla glass 3 technologies for protecting the handset’s screen from dust particles.
UMI Zero’s 2780 mAh battery gets charged upto 40% in just 900 seconds. It can run IOS 8.0, Android 4.4.2 and Lewa operating systems flawlessly. It comes with a 16 GB capacity flash storage that transfers data at 160 mbps speed. The phone is fitted with a 700 megahertz Mali MP4 graphics processor and a Sony sensor equipped 8.0 megapixel front camera. Design-wise, UMI Zero looks good. It has 142 grams weight. It should be available for pre-order on sites like 1949deals and Umistores before 1st of November.
Although UMI Zero packs with good features and Sony image sensors, it will face stiff competition from HTC 616, OnePlus One, Xperia Ultra T2 and Redmi Note.
