Oppo could become the 1st Chinese manufacturer to introduce a octa core Snapdragon phone in India. According to some top news resources, Oppo is planning to launch its R5 handset in the country by 1st of December 2014. R5 is claimed to be the most powerful and slimmest phone introduced by the company till date.
This phone is 0.10 millimeters thicker than Vivo X5 max - the slimmest Android phone in the world. It features a 5.2 inch IPS touchscreen full high-definition super Amoled display. The screen’s pixel density is well over 400. Oppo R5 features 1500 MHz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 processor. It packs with a quad-core Adreno 330 image processor. The processing hardware in R5 is exceptionally good. Thus users won’t experience any performance issues/lags while playing games or using any Android app.
Oppo R5 comes with a 13.0 megapixel rear camera that can shoot 3840 x 2160 pixel resolution (Ultra high-definition) videos. This snapper is accompanied by a LED flash. Front side of R5 features a 5.0 MP camera. Users can use this camera to take 1080p format selfie pictures or make video calls.
This smartphone employs VOOC rapid charging technology. Thus the 2000 mAh capacity battery packed within its body can be charged in 1800 seconds. The battery cannot be removed by the user. Oppo R5 has 16GB of ROM. It doesn’t include microSD card slot. Thus you’ll have just 13 - 14 GB storage space to install apps, games,…etc.
This phone is preloaded with the latest Color OS UI and Android 4.4 Kit Kat operating system. R5 supports LTE-4G, 3G, NFC, Wi-Fi b/g/n and Bluetooth. Oppo has priced the octa core R5 phone in 25000 to 30000 Rs range. Well, Gionee Elife s5.1 has now shifted 2 places down to 3 in the race of thinnest phones in India, 2nd and 1st positions are held by Oppo 35 and Vivo 5 Max.
