To access the internet, you must save the 2G/3G settings on you phone. We have already shared with you the procedure to get the GPRS / 3G settings on you phone (Please check our USSD related posts). In-case you have some problems in retrieving or saving the 3G/GPRS settings then you can set the 3G/2G APN manually too.Editing or saving an APN is not a difficult task. You’ll need to simply enter a point name. To manually enter or edit an Access Point name then follow the below steps -
How to edit a APN ?
- Step 1: Go to the settings menu on your smartphone.
- Step 2 :- From the settings menu select Connection/Connectivity.
- Step 3:- From the Connection menu, now select Access Points.
- Step 4:- Now you’ll be able to see the list of all access points saved on your phone. Choose the one you’re currently using/wanna edit.
- Step 5:- Now enter the APN from the below list in the box dedicated for it.
List of APNS
Airtel APN :- airtelgprs.com
Aircel :- aircelgprs or aircelwap
Vodafone Access point Name :- www or portalnmms
Reliance APN :- rcomnet or rcomwap
TATA Docomo :- TATA.DOCOMO.INTERNET
Videocon :- vinternet.com
Virgin :- vinternet
Idea Access Point Name :- internet or imis
Loop mobile :- www
BSNL Access Point name :- bsnlnet
Uninor :- Uninor
MTML :- gprsppsmum if you’re in Mumbai else gprsppsdelhi if you’re in Delhi.
Note :- Make sure that you enter the name of the APN as it is. i.e for Uninor, access point name is Uninor. .make sure that you enter the word as it is (with U in capital letter).
