It pleases you when someone likes your Facebook status update, photo’s and equally irks you when you see a Facebook notification of a game you are requested to join or an app that has been suggested to you by your Facebook friend .If you find the app/invite interesting you may accept the request but most you the time you’ll simply ignore it . I always ignored such notifications until I started receiving many requests (20/30+ notifications of app /game joining requests) which forced me to turn off Facebook notifications. As I’m not an ardent Facebook user who explored every module of Facebook Initially I found it difficult to turn off Facebook notifications .After exploring all the modules, I finally found a built in Facebook module to disable games joining requests and other application requests. The below steps will guide you to turn off Facebook notifications for Iphone/Android and PC through the built in Facebook modules in just a few secs:-
Turn off Facebook notifications for Iphone/Android and PC
Step 1:-Go to Accounts option located at the bottom of the drop down list you get on clicking the wheel icon located at the top right corner(when you lo into your Facebook account). Check the below screenshot
Step 2:-After you complete step 2, the Facebook settings page would get opened and in that Select the blocking tab (option) located at the left of this page (settings page).
Step 3:- On completing Step 3 , you will see a new page located at the right containing various controls that help you in blocking any Facebook user ,game invites from your friends ,Event Invites and finally apps(which contribute to generating a Facebook Notification) which you don’t want to see/use and which are suggested to you by your own friends. If you want to block every game/app invite from a particular friend , then enter his/her name in the text-box (Present in the Block Invites Option) of names (from the list of names you have shortlisted in Step 1) to block from sending you unnecessary invites. And if you want a particular app to be blocked from being sent to you as a request by your friend , then enter the apps name (that you had shortlisted in step I) in the Block Apps option.Check the Screenshot above Step 3.
Done! You won’t see any game joining requests nor will you see any app suggestion by your friend as a notification as you’ve turned off facebook notifications for Iphone/Android and PC .
yes, it is quite irritating whenever we login our facebook account and see a lot of game requests or other applications.
They are really irritating for a person who is not addicted to facebook.
