Nokia Z Launcher for Android is now available for download

After being acquired by Microsoft corporation, Nokia was expected to come out with some new and innovative apps. Today, the company has launched its very first Z launcher for Android. As of now, this utility will run on Android v4.1 API level 16 and higher versions of the OS. This software for phones/ tablets has been released in beta version and it can be downloaded for free through the its official site. The company will use the feedback of the users and will add/ improve the existing features this latest software:

Key features of Nokia Z launcher for Android:

Remembers the most used app: Z launcher runs a background process to get details on the most used app in the phone or tablet. This data is utilized to generate shortcuts on the home screen.

Scribble to run:

This is the most innovate and interesting feature of this app. To start or run an Android app, the user just have to scribble letters on the phone/ tablet screen. For instance, if i want to run gmail, i would first write G followed by the letter M on the display. The launcher will search for the apps whose name starts with letters gm and it will display a listview containing each of them. When you see an icon of the app that you want to run, you simply have to tap it to start using it.

Easy access:

Z launcher gives you an easy access to the apps that you use the most. It generates shortcuts for them on your tablet or phone home screen. Along with the apps, the launcher also shows contacts or important links/ bookmarks to your favorite sites. You can access the system clock and calendar on just a single tap on the time on your Android home-screen.

The swipes and scrolls functionality are smooth and you’ll never experience a performance issues with this latest Android launcher.
