As a teenager, I spent much of my online hours in discussion forums of communities/groups of many social networking websites interacting with different people and making new friends, educational purposes and of course dating many unknown women: D .As the days passed by I’ve got to learn many things just from being a part of these forums .In these years I’ve learnt that forums are not just limited to chatting, dating, making new friends, they can be used for many professional purposes by people from different field and one such category of people are website owners | bloggers who consider forums a very important resource of their professional lives, I belong to this category of people and would be sharing the importance of forums and the reasons why I use them. So without wasting much of your time, let’s see the reasons why website owners | bloggers like me use discussion forums heavily for their benefit and how can you do the same and thus you’ll recognize its importance :
- Getting Ideas for new blog post:-If you’ll observe closely, you’ll find that forums are flooded with thousands of questions on various topics. People post their queries and wait for someone to reply …people most of the times post a duplicate question (you can search the same question for proof …the search results will surely include the same question ) without making any effort of searching for the duplicates…as this question is posted more than once … this can be your new blog post.
- Getting Traffic to your blog:-If someone has posted a question, some help or some other query in the forum and if you think that you’ve got the solution to the question/query in you blog …You can simply post the link to the post that has got the solution to the users problem. This move would help you to drive traffic to your blog and thus you’ll have an increase in the page views (Note : Moderators of the forums won’t be able to delete the post if the link that you’ve posted has got a relevant answer to the user’s query/question).
- Getting new Followers | Subscribers | Friends:-If you’re getting traffic to your blog as explained in the above point …People might find your website | blog useful and will eventually become a subscriber|follower of your blog. For the proof. ..Give it a try
- Getting High Quality Backlinks:-Dofollow forums with high page rank are one of the key resources you can use to improve your alexa rankings as well as page rank. To get a backlink from dofollow forums, you can simply include your signature with the link to you website | blog or simply provide an answer to users query in the form of link to the post in your blog as mentioned in the second point.
- Getting to learn new things:-There’s no doubt that you get to learn things that you didn’t know just from remaining active and reading the responses to queries in the forums. A blogger | website owner can simply choose a group/community (Like SEO, Blogging, Marketing) from the array of categories and spend some of their time in these forums to discover some new techniques and learn them.
