Toshiba - The Japanese multinational corporation has unveiled its brand new tablet named Encore. This device from Toshiba has windows 8 OS, a 2GB RAM and an Intel Atom processor that has a clock speed of 1.5 GHz. Encore is expected to hit the markets in the coming months and has been priced around 320 to 340 US$. Overall specifications of this device looks good and is expected to give tough competition to other tablets running windows 8.1 O.S (which includes the recently launched Sony Iconia W3). Display:-Encore from Toashiba sports a 8.0” capacitive touchscreen display that has a screen resolution of 1280 by 800 pixels and a contrast ratio of 800:1. Tablet reviewers say that the encore offers a crisp and a better display than most of its competitors.
Processor, Memory and the Operating System:- Powered by a 1.5+ GHz quad core Intel Atom Processor, the Toshiba Encore runs the windows 8.1 operating system and has 2GB DDR3 RAM and a 32 GB data storage memory that can be extended further by a MicroSD card of 32GB + you get an option to store 7GB of your tablets data to the Microsoft’s sky drive cloud storage platform.This tablet comes with some applications like the XBOX smartglass which makes your tablets screen into your xbox screen, Microsoft office home - which includes useful applications like MS Word, MS PowerPoint, MS Excel…etc.
Camera:-As we have mentioned earlier, the Toshiba Encore is a dual camera tablet that has a 8 Megapixel rear 
camera (with Geo tagging, auto focus, digital zoom. ..etc) and a 2 Megapixel front camera (which can be used to click self portraits). Both these cameras have the capability top record high quality videos.
Battery and the weight :- This device weighs just around 478-480 grams and and has been designed to make the battery last long.
