As a student and a computer professional, there were many occasions where I had to create and present PowerPoint presentations (for my projects) to the professors and Managers/Team Leaders. • Don’t Copy:-Many people borrow presentations (To avoid the Hard Work) from their friends or people they know or even look-up the search engines to get presentations and edit /modify them as per their requirements .If you belong to this category of people, then let me tell you that whether or not you modify the presentation, this shortcut of yours may cause you in a great deal as :-

1. You can be easily caught as people whom you’d present might have seen similar presentation elsewhere.
2. In the future, you won’t have knowledge on creating presentations as you had engaged yourself in copying. ..Etc.So avoid copying.This is one of the most important Powerpoint presentation tips that can be ever suggested.
   

• Shortlist important modules/points:-As you’ve decided to create your presentation yourself, The first thing you’ll need to do now is to list all the important features/points/modules of your project on a paper. Spend as much time as you can as the points you’ll be including in your paper/presentation should have all the answers to the questions that examiner of the presentation may ask.

• Choose the Right Template:- Now , as you’ve shortlisted the important points/modules of the project , it’s time to choose the right template for your presentation . There are many categories of presentation available in tools like presentation ….choose the template from the category that suits your project.

• Choose the Right Font/Font Metrics:-Never choose a font that’s difficult to read , Set the font size to a level that can be easily seen and read by humans without giving much strain to the eyes and avoid using Bold characters excessively.

• Add an Index and a Powerful Introduction:- This is very important, your introduction short be short , concise and should give a clear-cut idea of your entire project and before adding the introductions make sure you’ve added the table of contents (Index) on a separate slide (This table of contents/Index slide should be the first slide on your presentation)

• Avoid very long Descriptions:-I’ve observed many a times that people don’t read long descriptions, hence avoid them . For a particular point , add its key sub points (that should have answers to the examiners queries) , if you do this , I’m sure not many people would ask you questions .

• Don’t forget Images :-Images attract people more that the text , Search images on search engines that are legal to be downloaded and used for free and add them to your presentation to make your presentation more beautiful .If presentation is about your software/website project then take screenshot of almost all the modules and put it in your presentation ..This move would give the presentation examiner a concise idea and would definitely make him happy.

• Add References/Bibliography:- If you referred some books,websites,people for your project , don’t be shy to add their names . As the examiners are experienced , you should never take risk .This is yet another important Powerpoint presentation tip that you should always follow .
