How to block ads on Chrome and Firefox?
There’s no doubt that Facebook is the ultimate place to hangout with your friends , families , co-workers , follow your favorite artists ,sportsperson , teams …etc .Today ,Almost every internet user has an account on Facebook . Although , Facebook’s User Interface (UI) kept changing every now and then, its unique signature features didn’t undergo much changes until Facebook started displaying advertisements in your personal news-feed .I think Facebook started displaying advertisements in the news-feed to make people aware of things that people may have never heard of and of course to earn extra money . I think most of you die-hard fans of Facebook like me don’t like this strategy of Facebook …you’ll always want your news-feed to carry updates from your Facebook friends, pages you’ve subscribed to or the people you’re following .When you’ll browse Facebook/or any other website without advertisements …you’ll notice an improvement in browsing speed (as the browser will not have to load the advertisements) .Hence to browse your favorite social networking site without advertisements.. You’ll need to add plug-in/extension (As explained below)to Firefox/chrome (or any other browser on which the plug-in can be installed) .Using the below small tutorials , you’ll be able to browse Facebook and any of your favorite website without any ads.So , make sure that you follow the tutorial for the browser you use -
How to block ads on Chrome?
- Click here to open the page for the adblock extension.
- Now, you’ll be able to see a popup window having “Add to Chrome” button in the top right corner. Click on it.

- Now, a small popup window containing two buttons “Yes” and “No” will appear … Click on Yes.
- On clicking the yes button, the adblock utility for chrome would be downloaded and installed on your Google Chrome Browser
Note :- After installation is complete , Chrome might request you to click on the extension’s icon to activate it , do whatever chrome says .
How to block ads on Firefox?
- Click here to open the page for Adblock plus addon for Firefox

- You’ll be able to see a green button “Add to Firefox” , click on it .
- After Firefox finishes downloading the add-on , a popup window will appear , click on the install button in the popup window.
- Restart the browser to activate the installed add-on .
